PREVENTION Services for You

Mental Wellness Annual "Physical"

When it comes to taking care of your mental health, an annual "physical" can be instrumental in helping you learn how to keep your brain healthy. With this comprehensive "physical", you will receive feedback about your mental health, learn how to increase protective factors/reduce risk factors, and receive individualized recommendations to boost your brain health.  (17+ years or older)

Pre-College Send-Off: Mental Health + Wellness Readiness Consultation

High school graduation is an exciting time, but did you know that it coincides with a high risk transition period for mental health problems? In this practical and collaborative extended consultation session, your teen will develop an individualized plan for maintaining mental health + wellness while away. Personal mental health history will be reviewed, current risk factors will be identified, and protective factors will be strengthened. Individualized recommendations for improving/maintaining mental health will be given. As a bonus, your teen will receive a personalized binder filled with brain health strategies and mental-health-on-campus forms that will be invaluable resources while away from home. Session lasts 2-3 hours.

Pre-College Send-Off: Know Before They Go

This informational meeting provides you and your teen(s) with an overview of mental health during the high school to college transition. Covered topics include: unique stressors, risk + protective factors, and a guide to mapping out on-campus resources. This format includes dedicated Q + A. (60 minutes) 

Mental Wellness Coaching

Mental Wellness coaching is a type of guidance that specializes in non-clinical mental health issues. It's an approach that supports and guides you as you navigate through life's ups and downs. Set goals, identify problems, develop solutions. 

Jump-Start Session

Jump-Start sessions are for those who are looking to increase motivation to implement what you already know. Together, we look at your current self-care strategies, make revisions as needed, and identify your roadblocks to implementation. Accountability check-ins and booster appointments can be added upon request. 

Individual Consultation

If you aren't looking for ongoing support, but are looking for perspective on (almost) anything mental health-related, a consultation session is for you. Troubleshoot problematic situations, gain new coping strategies, learn about trauma-informed care, etc.

PREVENTION Services for Your Group

Group Consultation

Gather a group together for a collective consultation on (almost) anything mental health-related. Learn the differences between natural grief and sudden traumatic loss, discuss problematic situations, gain new coping strategies, etc.  

Mental Wellness Presentations/Forums

We offer a variety of educational presentations/forums that can be customized to your group's needs. Presentations range in formality and can be tailored to any time frame requested. Forums for teens and/or parents also can be held on (almost) any topic.

Pre-College Send-Off: Know Before They Go

       This forum focuses on mental health during the college transition. Mental health               

       signs + symptoms of risk are discussed, unique stressors are reviewed, and               

       planning/resource gathering recommendations are provided. Group Q + A is          

       included. (90 minutes)

  • "Sorry, I can't." Setting limits for yourself. 
  • Sleep is your savior.  Why it's important and how to get more.

Looking to gather with a group of your choosing for an informal, guided discussion? Lunch + Learn topics can be either pre-determined or impromptu, based on what your group wants to bring to the table.

Individual Consultation

Looking to provide your colleagues with an informal lunch-hour drop-in discussion? Lunch + Learn topics can be either pre-determined or impromptu, based on what your group wants to bring to the table.  

Trauma-Informed Care Guidance

Life's stressors are unavoidable and individuals are more likely than not to have experienced a traumatic event at some point in their lifetime. Trauma-informed care starts with the premise that living through high-stress situations is a universal human experience. Learn basics about what trauma is, what signs and symptoms of trauma look like, and how to implement trauma-informed approaches that promote a framework of wellness. Individual or group support is available.
